AMAZING HACIENDA

Description

Located in the Mexican southeast, on the Yucatan peninsula and in the state of the same name, is this historic hacienda. It is located in an exceptional place, very close to the archaeological zones of Uxmal (World Heritage Site), Oxkintok and the Puuc route, to the Calcetok and Loltún caves, to the beautiful cities of Mérida and Campeche, to the route of the Franciscan convents and to the beautiful coastal area and biosphere reserve of Celestún and Isla arenas. Also due to its excellent location it is possible to make incomparable escapes.

The Hacienda has two churches, a spectacular main house and a beautiful striped house, as well as the ruins of the old canteen, the mill and the stables.

The oldest buildings date back to a short time after the conquest, according to the tradition of the locals, a large pyramid was located in the place, which was dismantled and reused for the realization of some of the current buildings, leaving evidence in the enormous quantity of existing carved stone on floors and terraces.

There are also other more modern buildings that date back to the so-called golden age of the Yucatan (XIX century), when this land became enormously rich with the cultivation and marketing of henequen and a much more spectacular type of construction was adopted during the Porfiriato.

The main house, in earth red color, has a flexible distribution. It has three bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room / library, master bedroom and three other rooms that can be used for both suites and common areas, it also has two corridors with arches and columns. This building also has a ground floor of which currently only a small part is used as a cellar, which was the old prison, making it easy to reuse the rest of the premises. In addition, on the ground floor facing the main esplanade there is a men's and women's bathing area, for parties or events that could be held in the garden.

The striped house (blue) has five suites with their private bathrooms and a large living room. It also has a corridor with arcades and columns.

It consists of two churches. One of them truly impressive for its size and beauty, ideal for any type of large celebration (weddings, baptisms, communions, fifteen years, ...). The other, smaller, is one of the oldest buildings on the property and stands out for its colonial sobriety.

There are other buildings: old stables and stables. All this surrounded by the beautiful and exuberant tropical vegetation.

It also has a small pool, located under a large ceibo (sacred tree of the Mayans) ready for use. Its surface is approximately 3 hectares, with the possibility of expanding to 10.

It is private property and duly deeded and registered, with all the papers in order and up to date.

The Maya train will pass next to the hacienda's hull.
